MURFREESBORO this second Symphony concert season is Murfreesboro program an energetic, fast display Murfreesboro Frampton Mac favorite, with his ensemble members plus members of the MSO. Music is a big band and entitled "Romancing film."
It starts with the Hollywood Bowl Fan fare, such as attractive as you can imagine. Frampton comes on stage and started with a charged version of "Theme of Tara" film, "Gone With the Wind." That went right to the beat of Calypso "Under the Sea," followed by setting a strong "Chariots of Fire." Frampton talks between most of the songs, which makes it interesting. Scott Joplin's "The entertainer" is next.
Frampton introduced the trumpeter Cecil Welch, who is a soloist for Orchestra, Henry Mancini for 18 years. He played the theme from "the Godfather". Angel sounded: rang through the sanctuary, and so haunt you could close your eyes and see the scene from the movie.
The audience was asked to participate in the next election by whistling the theme from "The Colonel Bogey March" or better known as "the River Kwai Bridge." Some spectators to leave them at home "puckers", while other whistlers are joining – dare.
The next election is the famous Maurice Ravel's "Bolero", which is the main theme in the film "Ten" with Bo Derek. It was, and still is, an intense piece, beginning with and ending with fortissimo pianissimo. It's very gradually over the part and very demanding on the pianist. The first part of the program ends with John Williams Suite, which is also very demanding.
